More Options for Women in Southeast Idaho

For nearly two decades, we’ve provided superior healthcare to the women in the Pocatello area, including OB/GYN services in American Falls, Preston and Malad. We’re also seeing more patients from Bingham County. To help extend our services to women from all over the area and to help create more choices, Pocatello Women’s Health Clinic has become an affiliate with Bingham Memorial Hospital (BMH).

“This new relationship with Bingham doesn’t change our relationship with Portneuf, but it does give our patients more options,” says Dr. Kim Cox.

Starting in 2018, patients will have the choice to have medical and surgical services at Bingham Memorial Hospital (in Blackfoot), Skyline Surgery Center (in Pocatello), as well as Portneuf Medical Center. Pocatello Woman’s Health Clinic will also have more OB/GYNs available including two more female physicians.

“We feel that giving our patients more options can help them save on medical costs over time,” explains Jason Ormond, clinic administrator, “We are committed to reducing costs and improving quality wherever possible.”

Pocatello Women’s Health Clinic services include obstetrics, gynecology, high-risk pregnancy management, menopause, infertility, contraceptive services, weight loss, incontinence, and depression.

As long-time residents of Idaho, we have a true desire to improve patients’ lives. You are more than just a patient to us; you are a friend, a neighbor, and in some cases a new resident to this area that we hope to know for many years. Since the inception of PWHC, we have been looking for ways to help improve the quality of healthcare as well as influencing the delivery of this care throughout a much larger region in Idaho. Collaborating with BMH, we will now be able to accomplish this goal.

We have greatly appreciated the opportunity to serve you throughout the years. As you know, we take women’s healthcare very seriously. We have brought in advanced medical techniques along with the most up-to-date standards of obstetrical and gynecological care. Working jointly with PMC and now BMH, we intend to continue to provide the premier care you have always counted on us to deliver.

What does the affiliation between PWHC and BMH mean for me?

This affiliation expands options to the women we serve. You now have the option for medical and surgical services at Bingham Memorial Hospital, Skyline Surgery Center, as well as Portneuf Medical Center. Plus, you have access to three more physicians, two of which are female. The physicians in Pocatello, however, will continue to only deliver babies in Pocatello as this serves, you — the patient — best. Working with our new colleagues, we will be able to collaborate in patient care and provide a seamless patient experience.

In addition, we will maintain all existing contracts with insurance companies. We will continue to accept all insurance carriers, including Blue Cross’s Connected Care Product with the Portneuf Quality Alliance (PQA).
